Keep what works.

Most custom orthotics are thrown away long before they stop working. The covers and cushioning wear out in a couple of years. The structural shell underneath — the part that was actually shaped to your foot — often does not.

Why we do this

The shell outlasts everything on it

A custom orthotic is really two things: a structural shell shaped for your foot, and the materials layered onto it. The materials take the wear. The shell usually does not.

Replacing the whole device throws away the part that took the most work to get right, and starts your fit over from the beginning. Rebuilding the materials keeps the shape your feet have already adapted to.

That is the entire idea behind Stillform: preserve what already works, and replace only what has worn out.

A specialized orthotic lab

Every device is refurbished or manufactured by technicians who work on orthotics all day — not routed through a general workshop.

Nothing is rebuilt before the shell has been inspected. If a shell cannot take new materials, we say so and send it back rather than covering the problem up.

Where your orthotics are made

Crafted at our specialized orthotic lab in Burlington, Ontario and shipped directly to customers across the United States.

How we work

Things you can hold us to

These are checkable on this site rather than assertions about how good we are.

  • Prices are published

Every service price is listed before you order, and shipping is shown separately rather than folded into the headline number.

  • Eligibility is stated up front

We publish what can and cannot be refurbished, and what happens if yours turns out not to qualify.

  • Turnaround is described honestly

We quote lab time and shipping time separately, because quoting one door-to-door number would mean guessing at the other.

  • Warranties are written down

Including the exclusions. A warranty that only lists what is covered is not much of a warranty.

  • Inspection comes before work

If we cannot do the job properly, you get your orthotics back and a refund of the service fee.
